Emma Lewisham sells 5,000 units of new natural cleanser in two days

A natural skincare brand beloved by Victoria’s Secret models has sold two months’ worth of its latest products in two days.

Emma Lewisham may have only launched her namesake brand in September 2019, but she’s already made huge waves across the global beauty industry.

The New Zealand businesswoman started with a vitamin-enriched face oil used by Kiwi catwalk queen Georgia Fowler, and quickly attracted a string of other celebrity fans including Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin and supermodel Irina Shayk.

On the back of that success, Ms Lewisham last month launched an ‘illuminating’ oil cleanser ($70) and exfoliator ($80), which sold a staggering 5,000 units – two months’ worth of stock – in just two days.

Made from naturally hydrating ingredients like rose, lavender and jasmine, the products have repeatedly sold out since launching online on October 28 – and it’s not hard to see why.

The cleanser is packed with antioxidants and powerful nutrients like vitamins A, C and E which hydrate skin, leaving the face soft and radiant.

Naturally occurring acids infused in the oil gently dissolve dead skin cells, restoring radiance to dull, lacklustre skin.

Ms Lewisham told Daily Mail Australia that applying the cleanser feels like ‘submerging your face in a bath of flowers’.

The $80 exfoliator, which should be used after the cleanser, promises to leave skin looking ‘instantly’ smoother.

The feather-light cream contains ingredients like jojoba oil which protect collagen and detoxify pores by drawing out impurities and environmental pollutants like dust.

Over 40 percent of Ms Lewisham’s existing customer base snapped up the new products within two days of launching, demonstrating the loyalty and cult following her brand has earned in little more than a year of trading.

The products join Ms Lewisham’s best-seller: Supernatural Tripe Vitamin A Face Oil, which is made with a natural version of retinol hailed as a one stop cure for acne, pigmentation and early signs of ageing.

Retinol has gained notoriety in the skincare realm for being the ultimate solution to almost every skin problem, but its magical powers come with some harsh – and sometimes dangerous- side effects.

Retinol – the cosmetic name for vitamin A – is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but its potency can cause a plethora of harsh side effects from intense dryness to an increased risk of burning in the sun.

Its high concentration of vitamin A has been linked to birth defects which makes it unsafe for use during pregnancy, which is why Ms Lewisham uses a natural alternative called bakuchiol, extracted from the Indian babchi plant.

Thousands of women have traded retinol-laced products for bakuchiol to reap all the benefits – minus the potentially frightening side effects.

Ms Lewisham’s formulation is exceptionally high in vitamins B, C, and E, as well as all the antioxidants, amino acids, fatty acids, lipids, and omegas essential for slowing the ageing process.

Each Emma Lewisham product contains between two and four times higher concentrations of active agents than competing synthetically-derived products, a spokesperson for the brand told Daily Mail Australia.

That means you’re getting at least double your money’s worth compared to other skincare treatments on the market.

The brand also sells a Skin Reset Even Skin Tone Serum ($148), Supernatural Anti-Ageing Peptide 72-Hour Crème ($141) and two sunscreens, one for the face ($92) and the body ($59.95) – so your entire routine is covered.

Online reviews stand testament to the fast-acting benefits of almost every Emma Lewisham product.

‘I started using your Skin Reset serum in May and it has changed my life!’ one woman wrote.

‘I had pretty dark pigmentation under both eyes before I started using it and two months later they’re almost completely gone.’

Another declared that Emma Lewisham has ‘made sunscreen fun again’.

‘I love the look and feel of the sunscreen. It’s great value and absorbs easily, definitely an essential product for me. Doesn’t feel greasy or too thick,’ she said.

A third agreed, writing: ‘I don’t usually like wearing sunblock as I find them greasy and I have sensitive skin, but I have found Emma Lewisham sunblock to be lightweight and a perfect base for my makeup’.
