Hilarious moment women bails from her car into the middle of traffic after discovering a spider

Hilarious moment a woman bails from her car in the middle of traffic and resolves to set it on fire after discovering a huge spider inside

  • A young woman who found a large spider in her car pledged to torch the vehicle
  • The harmless huntsman spider could be seen crawling above the steering wheel
  • Squealing in terror, the woman stopped in Sydney traffic to film the arachnid

Hilarious footage shows the moment a woman abandons her Mazda in the middle of traffic and pledges to burn the car after finding a large huntsman spider inside.

Uploaded on Tuesday by Sydney Tik Tok user truthinlove44, the video began as the non-venomous arachnid crawled above the window next to the driver’s seat.

The young driver filmed the eight-legged creature while standing outside the passenger’s window in the middle of the road at night.

‘I am freaking out right now, look at that freaking spider’ she said. ‘I’ve had to literally jump out of my car.’

Unable to contain her terror, the woman let out a series of high-pitched squeals as the spider inched its way across the inside roof and towards her.

‘I’m stuck in the middle of the road and, yuck,’ she yelled as she panicked, turning the camera around to show a busy city main road.

‘I’m going to set my car on fire and just, I’m going to burn this car and walk home because I can’t, I can’t, I can’t deal.’

Hoards of international social media users flocked to the comments section to condemn Australia and its spiders while others shared their own experiences.

‘I had a similar experience two weeks ago. I cried and started doing my scared spider dance in front of ALDI,’ one woman wrote.

‘This happened to me with a tiny spider and I nearly crashed,’ another said.

Some users shared in her terror and another was concerned that passers-by failed to check on the stranded woman.

‘I thought you were INSIDE the car lol I almost had a stroke watching that,’ one user wrote.

‘The fact that you are literally outside of your car in the middle of the road and no one has checked on you,’ a woman laughed.

But other Australians pointed out that huntsman spiders are not dangerous.

‘As an Australian, I never understand why other Australians are scared of spiders. Like, it literally won’t do anything to you,’ someone else said.

On Wednesday, the woman uploaded a second video and explained that the arachnid abandoned the vehicle out on its own.

‘The spider crawled outside the window to the outside of the car on the roof, and then from the roof it actually just jumped down on to the road and ran across the road.’

She safely resumed her position at the wheel and drove home, without torching the vehicle.

‘I didn’t have to burn my car, even though I was more than willing and prepared to set that car on fire if I had to, I’m really lucky that I didn’t.’

The woman added that the spider was likely looking for a new home, and urged Sydney-siders to ‘be careful’.
