Rumours are swirling that Hollywood star Zac Efron is planning to permanently relocate to Australia as his relationship with Vanessa Valladares continues to grow.
And on Monday, radio host Kyle Sandilands revealed there might be some truth to the speculation as he spoke on air about his attendance at Zac’s star-studded 33rd birthday party in Byron Bay on Sunday.
Kyle, 49, who has been friends with the High School Musical actor for years, offered a rare insight into Zac’s romance with 25-year-old waitress Vanessa while speaking about the events of the weekend.

‘He’s in love with that girl!’ Hollywood hunk Zac Efron may be planning to relocate to Australia after falling head over heels for his model girlfriend, Vanessa Valladares, who organised his surprise 33rd birthday bash in Byron Bay on Sunday
‘He absolutely loves Australia. He’s in love with this girl, Vanessa. They’re a beautiful couple. They do everything together. They’re just sweet,’ he told co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and newsreader Brooklyn Ross.
In a bid to get more information about the notoriously private couple, Jackie asked whether Zac and Vanessa had put on a public display of affection at the party.
Kyle said: ‘They weren’t overboard. You know when you see a young couple macking on [kissing] in Westfields [an Australian shopping mall], and you’re like, “oh please!” It’s not like that.’
‘They seem really sweet and really settled and nice,’ he added.
Kyle also explained that Zac had ‘no idea’ his birthday bash was happening and said it was actually Vanessa who had organised the surprise event.

‘Vanessa invited me. You couldn’t get a lovelier, sweeter girl. She knew everything, and she put everything together. She’s a sweetheart,’ he said.
Kyle added that the vibe of Zac’s party was ‘pretty chill’, but things got busy towards the end.
He also revealed that he didn’t get the chance to speak to the Hemsworth brothers, but did chat to their father, Craig.
‘Not one to brag… but’: Kyle also shared an Instagram snap of him preparing to jet off to Zac’s birthday on a private jet
In addition to Kyle and his girlfriend Tegan Kynaston, the guest list included the likes of Australian tennis champion Pat Rafter and television personality Renee Bargh.
Zac has been quietly living in the beachside town of Byron Bay since March, having escaped the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.
In August, Daily Mail Australia revealed that he’d cancelled his scheduled flight to LA.
‘He was only planning to fly home if he had to,’ a source revealed. ‘He didn’t really want to go back to America.’

Zac had purchased the plane ticket several months ago in case his application for a visa extension was denied by the Department of Home Affairs.
But it seems his request to have his tourist visa extended from three months to 12 months was granted, hence why he cancelled his trip home.
In September, The Daily Telegraph reported that Zac had ‘inspected and put in an offer’ on a home in Byron Bay, but was outbid at the last minute by a rival buyer.
More recently, Zac was rumoured to be the mystery buyer of a record-breaking $22million mansion near Wategos Beach.
In love: Zac has been smitten with former waitress Vanessa since meeting her at a Byron Bay cafe in August. According to Kyle, the pair are now inseparable and ‘do everything together’
